Ads We Hate: Andersen windows

I'm not sure if this is a regional ad or a national one for Andersen Windows, I just know it annoys me. It starts off with children looking wistfully out of a window. This is followed by other scenes of people staring out at scenes of nature, children playing, people holding hands, and all kinds of Hallmark-y pabulum. That's when the words "Between you and your world is a window" appear on the screen, then a brief dramatic pause, and finally, "We don't take that responsibility lightly."

No, but you take yourself way too seriously. They're just windows, for crying out loud, their not some profound portal into our collective conscience. They're transparent panes of glass, that's it. I understand there's a certain amount of hyperbole that's acceptable in most advertising, but it is possible to go overboard, and I think this ad does just that. I mean, if I call to have Andersen Windows installed are the workers who arrive at my house going to break down weeping every ten minutes because what they're doing means so much? Thanks, but no thanks.
